A mobile phone Punch In/Punch Out system using a generated QR Code for specific use with a payroll application in Malta only.
The payroll application is GoPayroll.
A QR Code is generated at time of Punch In or Punch Out for every employee of a company using the employees mobile phone to generate the QR Code.
The QR Code is then scanned at the employees companys premises entry/exit points.
The employees GoPayroll unique ID (generated randomly by the mobile app first time it is run and mapped to the employee record in GoPayroll), the punch type (In or Out), the date of the punch and the time of the punch is recorded for time and attendance purposes, passing this information directly to GoPayrolls time and attendance module, without the need to export or import data to/from this method of time recording and GoPayroll.
This app does away completely with the need for any form of biometric readers currently in use to record Time and Attendance.
Although this app may be used with tablets, it is not intended for use with such large devices (eg.
10" tablets).
